Holiday elves from the Ronnie “Bubba” Robinson Scholarship Foundation are teaming up with Essence41504 Catering to host the organization’s 2nd Annual Holiday Toy Drive Sat., Dec. 19 from 12-4 p.m. at 2217 Visalia Ave. in Richmond.

As part of the festivities, toys for Contra Costa County youth ages three to 13 will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sweetening the pot will be free hot dogs, while @barberjohnb will be providing complimentary haircuts for the kids.

Donations for the Holiday Toy Drive are still being accepted via Cash App at $Teeda43 and $rtrippler and are tax deductible.

The Ronnie “Bubba” Robinson Scholarship Foundation was founded in memory of its namesake, who perished in a car accident in 2016 where it was later determined he wasn’t properly wearing his seatbelt. Today, the foundation looks to raise awareness among young adults surrounding the risk and potential lifelong impact of not properly buckling up.
