
Two Fairfield residents have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Kevin Santisteban on Interstate Highway 80 in San Pablo, according to the San Pablo Police Department.
Santisteban, 20, of Richmond was fatally shot just after midnight Saturday while riding in a vehicle traveling on the highway near San Pablo Dam Road.
San Pablo police investigators identified two suspects within 24 hours of the crime. At 6:30 p.m. Sunday, 21-year-old Jorge Vazquez of Fairfield was arrested in the 200 block of E. Tabor Ave. in Fairfield. Camille McAlister, 23, also of Fairfield, was arrested later in the evening at 10:50 p.m. at the San Pablo Police Department. A motive hasn’t been announced by police.

Vazquez was booked into Martinez Detention Facility for the arrest warrant for the homicide as well as an unrelated probation violation warrant from Alameda County, police said. Mcalister was booked into Martinez Detention Facility for accessory to commit homicide.
“The District Attorney’s Office will be reviewing the case for consideration of formal charges,” San Pablo police said.
