The Save Mart Companies has launched a “Round Up The Change” fundraising campaign aimed at bolstering the American Red Cross Fire Relief’s efforts during the unprecedented wildfire emergency throughout the Bay Area and other parts of California.
Save Mart Companies operates Lucky stores in El Cerrito, Hercules and Pinole and FoodMaxx stores in Pinole and San Pablo.
As part of the fundraiser, shoppers can easily “Round Up The Change” at the checkout counters in all Save Mart, Lucky, Lucky California and FoodMaxx stores, donating the difference to the American Red Cross Fire Relief.
Shoppers have the option of donating more than their change to support Californians impacted by the devastating fires; each shopper’s contribution will be printed on the receipt for a record of the tax-deductible donation.
So how will shoppers’ donations help? During the wildfires, the American Red Cross is providing shelter, meals, health services and other crucial support for those who have been impacted. The organization also works hand-in-hand with disaster response partners to coordinate ongoing relief efforts and develop long-term recovery plans.
“This is a quick and easy way for our shoppers to help support the heroic work being done by the American Red Cross in communities throughout California ravaged by the active wildfires,” said Hal Levitt, senior vice president of retail operations. “The Save Mart Companies is dedicated to helping the communities in which we serve and the “Round Up The Change” fundraiser allows us to help our friends, family members and neighbors in their time of need.”
The Save Mart Companies operates more than 200 stores across California and Nevada under the banners of FoodMaxx, Lucky and Save Mart. For more information about the company click here.
