Richmond: Man drives car into house after being shot

A man drove his car into a house after being shot in the Fairmede-Hilltop area of Richmond Thursday night, police said.

Richmond police responded to the 3000 block of Birmingham Drive on a report of a shooting at 7:42 p.m., police Capt. Al Walle said.

“A man reported that he was shot during a drug transaction which caused him to drive his car into a house,” Walle said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. No arrests have been announced. Further details weren’t immediately available.
