Need a little one-on-one time with the tax man? Starting Monday, May 18, the Contra Costa County’s Tax Collector’s Office in Martinez will be open for visits from the public.
Office visits are by appointment only; to request one, contact the office at 925-957-5280 between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) or email them at [email protected].
According to a statement from the Tax Collector’s Office, “Appointments will be set at 15-minute intervals in order to maintain social distancing” and “a maximum of two people of the same household is allowed at a time.”
The office advises interested parties that the purpose of their visit, as well as whether any special accommodations are necessary, should be stated in advance.
