Richmond police are searching for three suspects connected to a shooting last month near the Crescent Park Apartments in Richmond.

The incident unfolded at about 10 p.m. Saturday, March 21, when Richmond police responded to a ShotSpotter gun detection activation in the 4700 block of Hartnett Avenue, police said.

As officers arrived on scene, they located a 17-year-old victim suffering from gunshot injuries. The teen was transported to a hospital for treatment, police said.

Officers learned the victim and others were standing in front of their home for fresh air while social distancing when “three suspects entered the area and without warning began shooting at the small group in the complex,” police said.

The incident was caught on video, which RPD posted in the comment section of a related post on its Facebook page.

“We are now asking the community for additional assistance in help identifying these three people depicted in the attached sketches,” police said. “Any person that may know anything about this crime or can identify the person depicted in the sketches is asked to contact Homicide Detective Mike Sagan at (510) 620-6541, email him at [email protected] or contact Richmond’s anonymous tip line at (510) 621-1212 x1933.
