Richmond offering affordable Spring Break camp for K-6

Richmond Virtual Rec Center helps alleviate shelter-at-home doldrums
The Richmond Recreation Center is located at 3230 Macdonald Ave.

Richmond families are being offered an affordable Spring Break camp for children from Kindergarten through 6th grade.

The citywide camp will take place at the Richmond Recreation Complex, 3230 Macdonald Ave., from Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, each day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The cost is $25. Families can pay $20 more for before care (drop off at 8 a.m.) or $20 for after care (remain until 6 p.m.)

The camp will use both the Rec Complex Gymnasium and Nicholl Park for various fun programs and activities, including arts and crafts, brain games sports and more.

Participants will need to bring a lunch/water bottle each day. Transportation may be provided for current Achieve afterschool participants. Also, May Valley afterschool participants will receive a camp voucher covering the 10:00 am to 4:00 pm portion of the camp.
