Unfortunately, the New Year hasn’t ushered in the reopening of the Richmond Plunge.

Closed for repairs on Sept. 1, the Plunge won’t reopen until at least Jan. 31, according to the city.

Last fall, we were told by a city officials that the repairs involved redoing the plaster on the bottom of the pool. The city’s website additionally reported work being done to repair and restore the mural wall.

In light of the closure, the Richmond Swim Center at 4300 Cutting Blvd. is operating on a revised schedule to accommodate users of the Plunge. That schedule can be found here. For more information, visit the city’s Aquatics page here.
