Got the summertime craving for some pro baseball, peanuts and crackerjacks? The Children’s Room at the main Richmond Public Library has just the ticket as it’s currently giving away vouchers that can be redeemed for one ticket to an Oakland A’s baseball game.

The Oakland A’s vouchers are valid for 2022 regular season baseball games and are subject to availability and blackout date restrictions, according to the library. There are no restrictions on who can receive the vouchers and they are available on a first come/first served basis while limited supplies last.

Children’s Librarian Deborah Bonet said that the game vouchers were made possible thanks to a generous donation from the Oakland A’s, which resulted in 150 tickets being given to the library. The donation is the first one the library has received from the baseball team in three years and Bonet said “they’re always a big hit” and are “just for you to enjoy the games.”

The main Richmond Public Library is located at 325 Civic Center Plaza in Richmond (between Macdonald and Nevin Avenues). Hours are Monday-Wednesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The main library is closed on weekends.
