Richmond’s East Brother Beer Co. is turning five, and to celebrate, it’s doing what any self-respecting craft brewery would do: Throwing “an epic birthday bash.”

The free-admission festivities are set for Sun., Feb. 20 from 12-8 p.m. in East Brother’s taproom, 1001 Canal Blvd. in Richmond—which also happens to be the last day of San Francisco Beer Week.

Stepping up as party emcee will be Beer Talk Now, with the party fun to include live music, food by La Santa Torta (birria tacos) and Ceviche & Co (fresh ceviche) and arcade/board games and cornhole.  As always, indoor and outdoor seating will be available.

It wouldn’t be an East Brother party without some new beer releases, so the company is rolling out three: Munich Dunkel, an anniversary beer that’s a collaboration with Crooked Lane Brewing Co.; Double IPA, East Brother’s take on the West Coast IPA and the first in its Freighter Series; and Brave Noise Pale Ale, “a beer with a mission” that looks to end sexual harassment in the beer industry, with partial proceeds benefitting anti-harassment nonprofits.

According to East Brother, they’ve also invited various Richmond nonprofits to set up a table at the party. “So grab a pint and learn what these incredible organizations are doing to make Richmond a more vibrant place to live,” said party organizers.
