They’re baaack! ABC Tree Farms and Pick of the Patch Pumpkins—a company that sets up temporary seasonal retail and entertainment spots—has reopened in Richmond just in time for the season of scary.
Located in the parking lot at 2200 Hilltop Mall between Walmart and JC Penney, Pick of the Patch Pumpkin’s Richmond location features a variety of massive inflatable slides and jumpers—Spider Man, tigers, dinosaurs, giraffes and the like for children ages 2-12.
And while, at this writing, pumpkins have yet to make an appearance at the Richmond location, be assured they’ll be coming soon at a time to be determined. Plans are for a return of the patch’s “Memory Zone,” featuring pumpkins, hay bales, scarecrows, sunflowers and other seasonal pleasures ideal for selfies or family pics. Pumpkins vary in price depending on size.
Another soon-to-be-coming attraction this year, per Pick of the Patch, will be pony rides for $15 per child Mon.-Fri. from 4-8 p.m. and Sat. & Sun. from 12-8 p.m. A paint ball range will also be open starting Oct. 1 for $5 per cup or $20 per bucket. A variety of seasonal retail items are up for sale too.
Pick of the Patch Pumpkins is open now through Oct. 31. The hours of operation now through Oct. 9 are: Mon.-Thurs. 3-9 p.m.; Fri. 3-10 p.m.; Sat. 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sun. 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The hours change from Oct. 10–21 to: Mon.-Thurs. 1-9 p.m.; Fri. 1-10 p.m.; Sat. 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Closer to Halloween, the hours from Oct. 22-31 are: Sun.-Thurs. 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Fri. & Sat. 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Admission to the patch’s inflatable area is $15 for 30 minutes of jumping/sliding per child or $19 for 60 minutes per child. Birthday parties, school and other groups are welcome.
