In honor of the 20th anniversary of Free Comic Book Day, all Contra Costa County Library branches will offer free comic swag bags between Monday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 21.
“The week-long, all ages event brings the comic book industry and the Library together for a series of programs and giveaways to celebrate all that is comics,” Library officials said.
Comic Book Day is usually held the first Saturday in May, but was postponed this year do to COVID-19. Contra Costa County Library is celebrating via a number of free virtual events, including:
