Richmond’s recently reimagined Assemble Marketplace is hosting a “3rd of July Launch Party” at its location and at the adjacent Craneway Pavilion Saturday, July 3, from 2-7 p.m.

A variety of food options, full bar, live music and entertainment will be included for the free event, which is open to people of all ages. An RSVP is encouraged as capacity is limited.

“We are so thrilled to host a one-of-a-kind 3rd of July Launch Party for the re-envisioned Assemble Marketplace,” said event organizers on Assemble’s website. “This event will be the first of many and help us rebuild our beloved gathering place at the Craneway Pavilion on the Richmond shoreline.”

The event’s food lineup will include offerings from Tommy’s BBQ Co. (smoked ribs, links, brisket and classic sides); Rocky Island Oyster Co. (fresh oysters, lobster in homemade butter rolls and Old Bay french fries); Ochoa Tamales (puerco con salsa roja, pollo con salsa verde, watermelon agua fresca and other options); and Tercero Tacos (street tacos with a choice of meat, as well as sodas), according to  Assemble.

Pacific Standard Cocktails, Madre Mezcal and Old Caz Beer will be providing drinks, and the word on the street is that East Brother Beer Co. will also be offering free beer samples, said organizers.

Live Django-style Gypsy Jazz with Frank Petrilli & DJ Alex Swain will provide the music and other entertainment will include vintage vendors, local artists, games and other attractions, per Assemble.
