The 26th Annual El Sobrante Stroll is set to draw thousands to San Pablo Dam Road on Sunday, Sept. 15, with a parade beginning at 11 a.m., and the “Stroll” continuing through 4 p.m.
The free event will have San Pablo Dam Road from Appian Way to El Portal Drive closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The first stroll was held in 1994, launched with the purpose of acquainting residents with local small businesses at a time that large shopping centers were emerging.
This year’s theme is “El Sobrante – A Valley For All” – and will include six music stages, food courts, over 200 craft and info booths, a Kids Playland, Classic Car Show, displays by the sheriff’s and fire departments, and local schools, churches and organizations represented.
