The 10th Annual North Richmond Music Festival is set to once again enliven the historic Shields Reid Park with a healthy lineup of live music and activities for the whole family on Saturday, July 20.

The free annual festival runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and features performances by Lucky Lloyd, Lee Ashford, Tommy Nunnlley, Mike Skinner and the Final Touch Band and other high-profile acts at the park at 1410 Kelsey St.

There will also be free lunch, pony rides, face-painting, a “paint and vibe” art studio, festival legacy booth, jumper for kids, games and more, organizers said.

The music festival celebrates North Richmond as a mecca of blues culture and music since WWII and pays homage to the local community.

It is sponsored by the City of Richmond, Chevron, Sims Metal, Mechanics Bank, Men and Women of Valor and others.
