The San Pablo Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has a federally funded program called WIOA that can help local residents find a new job. The program offers free job search assistance, case management and professional training services to the public.
WIOA has funds available to help pay for training costs, and can help find the right training program to advance a participant’s career goals. The purpose of WIOA is to help members of the community find high-wage, high-growth careers, and to help ensure that workers can sustain their jobs and advance in their fields, to obtain better positions and pay.
For the time being, in the interest of public health, San Pablo EDC is providing services via phone and email only. WIOA orientations take place Tuesdays at 10 a.m. sharp, via Zoom (or telephone), and last 20 minutes. To participate, join via Zoom at:

The WIOA program helps place participants into high-wage jobs in growth industries, like healthcare, information technology, construction, transportation, and more! WIOA will also support job retention and training advancement. WIOA staff are actively working with job seekers and training candidates, despite social distancing requirements, and they would love to help you also. Recent job placements include medical assistants, truck drivers, networking technicians, nurses and nursing assistants, legal secretaries, administrative assistants, and more!
