The San Pablo Economic Development Corporation (San Pablo EDC) is hosting a free two-day OSHA 10-hour safety training course — on Thursday, Feb. 20 and Friday, Feb. 21.
This two-day course satisfies the training requirements of OSHA General Industry Safety and Health Outreach Program for workers at hazardous waste remediation and/or Department of Environment environmental remediation projects.
Since 1971, OSHA workplace safety training has helped companies protect workers and avoid costly legal proceedings. The OSHA 10-hour safety course helps workers identify, avoid, and correct on-the-job hazards. Workers learn about the crucial Focus Four hazards – Caught in-between hazards, Electrocution hazards, Fall hazards, and Struck-by hazards — and how to protect their legal rights. While not mandatory in all states, the OSHA 10 hour program is an affordable way to foster a culture of workplace safety.
OSHA 10 certification is a valuable asset for workers looking for positions in the construction industry.
The course will be offered from 10 am – 3:30 pm each day:
- on Feb. 20 at the San Pablo Library, 13751 San Pablo Ave, San Pablo
- on Feb 21 at the San Pablo EDC, 13830 San Pablo Ave, Suite D, San Pablo
