San Pablo man fatally shot in Rodeo

A San Pablo man was fatally shot in Rodeo Friday night, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 1000 block of Mariposa Avenue at about 7:52 p.m. They found 24-year-old Olajawon Walker on the street suffering from a gunshot wound. Walker was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

No arrests or motive have been announced in connection with the homicide. The investigation is ongoing, deputies said.

  1. This is why it is a bad idea to go to the slummy projects area of Rodeo at night. I’m amazed a place like that even exists in this area. What a shame. I had some idiot from a website that caters to locals try to lure me down there at night once. I was like, are you mentally retarded??
