Think you know the history of Richmond? Put your knowledge to the test at The Factory Bar’s special “Richmond History Trivia Night” Monday, March 30 from 7-9 p.m.

“Join us for a special edition of Monday Night Trivia at The Factory Bar, hosted by ChuckT of Rich City Studios, featuring the Richmond Museum of History & Culture,” said Co-owner Tom Lyons. “Test your knowledge, enjoy music and drinks, and connect with the community in this low-stakes, high-fun trivia night.”

Lyons added that prizes will include goodies from the Richmond Historical Society and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Richmond Museum of History & Culture.

Executive Director Evelyn Santos said that, as passionate stewards of history, the museum is excited to participate in this upcoming Trivia Night, which brings our community together to celebrate local history in a fun and engaging way.

“We’re especially thrilled to host the lucky winner for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of our collection space. It’s one thing to know the facts of Richmond’s history—but it’s something entirely different to experience our city’s story firsthand through the objects that bring it to life.”

“I will be playing some classic hits from decades past, music made by some of Richmond’s local ‘famous’ natives, and some songs created by my clients at my studio…a sort of, ‘made in Richmond’ segment,” he said.

The host said the segment will occur toward the end of the evening.

Chef Henrik’s food truck will pull up to the curb that night, serving its tasty Brazilian BBQ fare from 3-10 p.m. The chef himself told the Standard he recommends the #1 “Prato De Picanha” beef.

Pair your food with drinks from the bar, like the ever-popular Point Molate, a prickly pear margarita with a chili rim and a dried mango garnish. A newer addition to the seasonal menu is the Dirty Deeds, a dirty martini crafted with Pau Maui vodka, Dolin Dry, lemon and olive juice. The Factory Bar is located at 12513 San Pablo Ave. in Richmond. Trivia Nights occur every Monday evening, while the Richmond History Trivia Night is slated for March 30.
