A mechanical issue with an Audi sedan apparently caused its driver to lose control Thursday night, resulting in the vehicle crashing into a 12,000-volt electrical box and knocking out power for over 1,500 customers in the area, according to the Hercules Police Department.
Hercules police responded to the crash scene at about 10:51 p.m. in the area of Village Parkway and S. Wildwood. PG&E responded to the scene to work to restore power.
Further details on the incident were not immediately available.
