Conceptual designs have been released for the new McNeil Park.
The 4.8-acre community park will be built at the site of the former El Portal Elementary School at 2600 Moraga Road in San Pablo.
Inspired by community input provided both online and at events and stakeholder meetings, the designs are next scheduled to undergo three workshop sessions before a final design is selected.
The city aims to put the project out for bidding and begin construction this winter or Spring 2025.
McNeil Park is named after former San Pablo Mayor and Councilmember Leonard R. McNeil.
