Two vehicles caught fire after a three-car crash on I-80 near the San Pablo Dam Road exit on Saturday night, according to Richmond Firefighter Local 188, the union representing city firefighters.
Just before midnight, Richmond firefighters assisted Con Fire in responding to the crash scene.Â
Three vehicles were involved in the crash, and two of the vehicles were stuck together and both were on fire.
Luckily, all occupants were able to make it out of the vehicles safely, fire officials said.
The flames were brought under control. Five victims were treated for minor injuries and transported to the hospital.
