Two arrested in Hercules for robbing cannabis delivery driver in Modesto

Two suspects were arrested in Hercules on Sunday in connection with the armed robbery of a cannabis dispensary delivery driver in Modesto the previous day, police said.

At about 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Hercules police officers were dispatched to 4080 San Pablo Ave. for a report that an armed robbery suspect vehicle, a Toyota Highlander, was parked in front of Chase bank.

The victim told officers that the driver for her cannabis dispensary was robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint in Modesto, and that she recognized the Highlander as the suspect vehicle, police said.

Officers arrived and detained the driver and passenger inside the Toyota. While searching the vehicle, police found stolen cannabis containers, a stolen tracking device, a ski mask, a knife and a Sig Sauer P365 semiautomatic pistol that were used in the robbery, police said The firearm was determined to be stolen out of Mississippi.

Officers deemed the driver and passengerresponsible for the armed robbery following an investigation, and arrested them. Their identities were not immediately available.
