PG&E will remove 1.6 miles of line, including spans that cross Highway 80 and run along San Pablo Avenue in Hercules, starting Aug. 25 through Sept. 1, weather permitting, according to the utility.
Expect to see crews and traffic control personnel.
On Sunday, Aug. 27, a portion of line crossing Highway 80 will be removed, which will require a rolling traffic break from daylight to 9 a.m. Drivers should avoid the area or give themselves extra time should they encounter traffic delays, the city said.
