Reveling in its opportune spot adjacent to Richmond’s July 3 fireworks show, Riggers Loft is amping up its own celebration that night by offering food, wine, music and more.

The waterfront winery and cidery is pulling out all the stops for the City’s pre-Independence Day celebration that Monday by hosting “Fireworks at the Point/Andre Thierry,” from 6-10 p.m. Tickets to Riggers Loft’s event include free parking and are $35 for adults; $15 for those 21 and under; and no charge for littles 6 and under.

Andre Thierry & Zydeco Magic will get the party started with his accordion soul music and dancing from 6-9 p.m. that night, while five “fabulous” food tents will be available to guests, per Riggers Loft: Tent 1: Woodfired Pizzas; Tent 2: Burgers and frites; Tent 3: Taco Taco!; Tent 4: Cajun: Shrimp po-boy and gumbo yaya; and Tent 5: Deserts including beignets and strawberry shortcake. Topping off the food selections will be Riggers Loft’s resident wines and ciders, while sodas will be available for the kids.

Fun times also will be afoot for kids of all ages, with ping-pong, Giant Jenga, cornhole and bocce ball in the house. And, of course, the City’s fireworks show gets started that night at 9:15 p.m.

“Bring your beach chairs and blankets out to the winery’s crush pad for a perfect view of the fireworks.

Or, stay inside in the warmth of the winery and dance the evening away,” said Barbara Brown, co-owner and winemaker at Riggers Loft.

Riggers Loft is located at 1325 Canal Blvd. in Richmond along the waterfront. To purchase tickets, click here.
