The Richmond Junior Giants is inviting families to sign up for the new season, which is just about getting started.

Junior Giants, a flagship program put on by the Giants Community Fund, a nonprofit affiliated with the San Francisco Giants, has been offering free, noncompetitive, coed baseball leagues for over 25 years, and recently added softball. They serve 30,000 players in 87 leagues and 70 schools across Northern and Central California, Oregon and Nevada.

The Richmond Junior Giants serves athletes ages 5 through 18.

Beyond getting kids outside to exercise and meet others in their community, the Junior Giants program also teaches character development with tips on health, education and bullying prevention.

Families are encouraged to register and learn more about the Richmond Junior Giants program here. Register here for the Richmond Junior Giants, or contact Jerry Anderson of the Richmond Police Activities League at (510) 621-1221 or [email protected].
