The El Cerrito Chamber of Commerce is hosting a grand opening for Super Slice, a new, New York-style pizza restaurant on San Pablo Avenue close to Central Avenue.
The event is slated to occur at noon on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the restaurant at 10180 San Pablo Ave.
El Cerrito Mayor Lisa Motoyama is expected to congratulate and help welcome the new pizza spot.
The owners of the new Super Slice Pizza are brothers . They’ve been open for nine weeks and say they’re excited to “serve the community with great pizza.”
The new restaurant is starting off to largely positive reviews on Yelp, receiving 4.9 out of 5 out of stars out of 31 reviews as of this writing.
The owners expressed gratitude in receiving support from the city and Chamber, noting that when a small business is supported, so is “somebody’s dream.”
Super Slice Pizza sells pizza pies averaging 24 inches in diameter, with its largest at 28 inches and with slices at about 12 inches by 12 inches.
