The Center for Elders’ Independence is informing the public that it is participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in order to “ensure access to the program by seniors or adults with disabilities within our community,” per reps.
The CACFP is available free of charge to all enrolled and eligible adults at the CEI Guardian Adult Day Center, 3905 San Pablo Dam Rd. in El Sobrante.
According to the center, those participants originating from households with incomes at or below the levels on the following chart are eligible for free or reduced-price meal benefits.
The CEI Guardian Adult Day Center opens its doors to senior and disabled adults living in West Contra Costa County who require day health and other services including physical therapy, social engagement and nursing care. For more info, contact the center at (510) 669-1005.
