Rep. Mark DeSaulnier is set to host two town halls on Fri., May 28. First up will be a webinar on “Navigating the Immigration System” from 12-1 p.m. PT, followed by a “Conversation on Race Town Hall on the Fight to Address AAPI Hate in America” from 3-4 p.m. PT. Both events will be held on Zoom and streamed live on Congressman DeSaulnier’s Facebook page.

During the Navigating the Immigration System webinar, the California congressman will be joined by special guest Jennifer LaForce, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) community relations officer, San Francisco District. LaForce will give participants an update on the latest changes at USCIS and address questions about securing visas, applying for citizenship and other topics of interest. 

For the Conversation on Race Town Hall, Congressman DeSaulnier will be joined by Congresswoman Barbara Lee (CA-13) to continue their ongoing discussion on the topic at hand. Special guest, Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-27), chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, will join the conversation as well, as will UC Berkeley Associate Professor of Ethnic Studies Lok Siu as a panelist. Also included will be a video message from Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-06).
