WCCTAC Travel Training Program relaunches for seniors and disabled
AC Transit bus at Richmond BART Station.

AC Transit will limit the number of passengers on its buses to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The transit agency will limit its 30-foot feeder coach to 6 passengers, its 40-foot articulated coach to 10 passengers, its 60-foot articulated coach to 16 passengers and its 44-foot double-decker coach to 24 passengers.

When passenger capacity is reached, the bus will bypass stops except for when passengers want to disembark. A “Drop-Off Only” external head-sign on buses will alert passengers that the bus will not stop.

“AC Transit riders may experience trip delays and are asked to plan accordingly,” the transit agency said. “It is important to note, on board safety is paramount and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.”

Riders are encouraged to wear masks or other nose-and-mouth covering while on board and practice social distancing.
