FoodMaxx, Lucky among local stores hiring in response to COVID-19 needs
FoodMaxx is among the grocers hiring in response to COVID-19 needs.

The Save Mart Companies announced Monday openings for close to 1,000 employees in their FoodMaxx, Lucky and Save Mart stores throughout California and Northern Nevada, as well as their warehouses in Roseville and Merced, due to increasing needs caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

This includes in-store positions, drivers, and warehouse team members. Search here for information about what jobs are available in each location. The FoodMaxx in San Pablo is seeking meat and grocery clerks. Those same positions, along with the position of clerk helper, are being sought for the store in Pinole. The company is looking to fill nine roles at its Oakland stores.

Meanwhile, the Lucky supermarket stores in Pinole and Hercules are each seeking to fill three positions such as multi-purpose clerks.

Foodsco at 1205 Macdonald Ave. in Richmond is also looking to hire for the position of retail clerk.

Also, Safeway said there were more than 2,000 positions in-store and delivery driver positions open throughout Northern California. Apply online at careersatsafeway.com, or  inquire with the management at your local Safeway.
