Contra Costa health officials offer tips to beat the heat
Hot temperatures are prompting warnings from public health officials.
It is HOT! Please share this guidance from County health officials. Residents, particularly those vulnerable to the more severe temperatures, should stick to air-conditioned buildings, drink plenty of water, and know the signs of heat illness.

Call 911 if you or someone near you is having a health emergency. Cooling centers are open, including at Greater Richmond Interfaith Program and Richmond Senior Center. Also consider shopping malls, movie theaters, museum and libraries.

See tips below and a list of places for seniors and people with disabilities to cool off, courtesy of the County.
