Hercules Home Depot employee assaulted while trying to stop shopliftersAt 8:39 p.m., police responded to the store at --- on a report of a robbery and spoke with the loss prevention employee, who said he attempted to stop two male suspects from stealing when one of them punched him in the face. The employee then followed the suspects to their vehicle and tried to grab merchandise from their vehicle. 'There, one of the subjects reversed from the parking spot striking [the loss prevention employee) with the vehicle," police said. No arrests have been reported. The vehicle was described as a Silver 2023 Kia Niro.
