Ed Fund now accepting applications for 2025 scholarship program

The West Contra Costa Public Education Fund (Ed Fund) is now accepting applications for its 2025 scholarship program from students in the West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD). 

The Ed Fund has awarded over $1.6 million in scholarships to more than 570 students since 2005.

This year, the Ed Fund is offering five different scholarships to support WCCUSD students in pursuing higher education:

  • African American Scholarship
  • Contra Costa Chorale Vocal Music Studies Scholarship
  • Ed Fund West General Scholarship
  • Fregarrio Family Scholarship (for Richmond High students)
  • Schroeder Family Foundation Scholarship (for El Cerrito High students)

To be eligible, students must demonstrate a financial need, FAFSA/CA Dream Act Application by March 3 (unless not AB 540 eligible), plan to attend a two- or four-year college/university right after graduation, and be a 2025 graduate from a WCCUSD public high school (ECHS, PVHS, DAHS, RHS, HHS, KHS, MCHS, Vista, or Greenwood Academy).
