Contra Costa Community College District (4CD) is launching monthly workshops for those interested in learning about job opportunities at a California community college.
Live, online workshops will be offered via Zoom on the first Monday of every month beginning Feb. 3, from 7-8 p.m.
Job opportunities can include classified positions, such as in business services and custodial or as a program coordinator, instructional assistant or athletic trainer. There are of course faculty positions, including counselors and librarians, and management positions.
During workshops, 4CD’s Associate Vice Chancellor, Chief Human Resources Officer Dr. Jeffrey Michels will provide a short presentation on strategies for finding job postings at any California Community College. After, Dr. Michels will offer tips on writing applications and making it through the paper screening process, interview preparation and techniques and ways to use Artificial Intelligence to help in your job search. He will then answer questions.
California Community Colleges offer hourly and part-time work as well as lifetime careers with benefits and retirement plans.
