Richmond Fire Station 63 is inviting the community to an Open House BBQ in honor of National Fire Safety Week.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, at Fire Station 63, located at 5201 Valley View Rd.
“They will be cooking hotdogs as well as plant-based hotdogs for you,” Richmond City Councilmember Soheila Bana stated on social media.
The RFD has planned safety demonstrations, and the West Contra Costa Fire Safety Council (WCCFSC) will be on hand to provide fire prevention information, Councilmember Bana added.
Face painting, artisan craft booths, a live DJ and karaoke will all be part of the fun.
“Come and take a picture with our firefighters, Fire Chief Montoya, and the WCCFSC team,” she said. “I promise you will have fun.”
