Save the date: The Greater Richmond Interfaith Program (GRIP) will hold its 37th Annual Harmony Walk from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28.
The nonprofit’s biggest annual fundraiser will include a short walk from Nicholl Park to the GRIP shelter and back. At GRIP, participants will have the opportunity, like last year, to step inside and learn more about the day-to-day, on-the-ground work that GRIP staff do to keep community members housed and fed.
After the Harmony Walk, a picnic-style event with classic BBQ fare grilled and served by volunteers will ensue at Nicholl Park. Sponsoring local businesses will serve up special treats. This year’s event aims to showcase “an even fuller range” of Richmond and East Bay businesses, community organizations and more, according to GRIP.
Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and chairs and enjoy music, guest speakers, food, vendor booths, kids’ activities, and a raffle drawing.
