The West County Salesian Youth Club is inviting youth basketball players ages 7 through 14 to sign up for fun recreational league play, with the league running from Sept. 24 through Oct. 29.

Players of all skill levels are accepted.

“From beginner level to the more experienced players, we have a spot for everyone in our youth basketball league,” officials said. “We will be developing basketball skills, but more importantly we will be focused on making sure that the kids have FUN!!!”

The evaluation date, during which players will be evaluated to even out the teams, will be Sept. 10 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. New players would need to be evaluated and only need to go to one of the sessions. Players who participated in any previous season do not have to come to the evaluations.

Registration closes on Sept. 10.

All the action takes place at the West County Salesian Youth Club, 2801 Moran Ave. in Richmond. The league cost is $125 for current Boys Club members and $200 for non Boys Club members. Scholarships may be available to those who qualify. The non Boys Club fee also acts as an annual Boys Club membership fee, for full access to the Boys Club year-round and the opportunity to join other activities. Weekly activities include basketball, baseball, football, karate, DIY Stem, art, drama and much more.
