Applications are being accepted now for the fall cohort of the Richsmond YouthBUILD program, which provides intensive hands-on training and construction industry credentials for young people ages 16 to 24.
Participants in the free, federally-funded program can work toward their GEDs or high school diplomas, learn job skills, and work on community projects. They can earn industry recognized credentials, including HAZ 40, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, Traffic Control, TWIC, and RSO.
“Education is just the beginning,” program officials said. “We will assist in obtaining your driver’s license, career exploration and training. We’re committed to to your succes nad will support you every step of the way.”
Classes are Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
