The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office identified Jacqueline Elizabeth Rodriguez, 39, of Richmond, as the victim of a fatal hit-and-run collision in Richmond on Saturday, Feb. 18.

Rodriguez was crossing the street when she was fatally struck by a vehicle in the area of Carlson Avenue and Cutting Boulevard the morning of Saturday, Feb. 18. 

Officers responded to the area on a reports of a pedestrian being struck and located Rodriguez, who was suffering from fatal injuries, police said. She died at the scene. 

Officers learned the vehicle involved was traveling on Cutting Boulevard at a high rate of speed when striking the victim who was crossing the street.

No arrests have been announced in the case and the police investigation is ongoing.
