Are you a strong swimmer who still needs your lifeguard certification? The City of Richmond’s Aquatics team is on the lookout for pat-time lifeguard applicants “who are strong swimmers but are not yet certified.” However, certified applicants are also welcomed.
“If you are interested in becoming a lifeguard, or you are already certified, please apply now,” said the City in a Statement, noting that “There is a lifeguard class coming up soon.” The salary range for the available part-time lifeguard roles is $16.64–$19.27 hourly.
Those ages 15 plus are welcome and the City emphasized that it’s “not just for teenagers or competitive swimmers.” Job applicants should be willing to work two shifts per week, plus regular lifeguard in-service, per the City. Perks of the job include free certification classes for those applicants who are qualified and also free swims for lifeguards. Add to that the “amazing crew of friendly staff and pool patrons,” said the City.
