Community volunteers and residents participated in the Nevin Avenue Clean-Up and Dumpster Day in Richmond on Saturday, Feb. 26.
Along Nevin Avenue from the BART Station to 20th Street, 21 volunteers filled 15 trash bags with litter along Nevin Avenue within the Belding Woods and Richmore Village-Metro Walk neighborhoods, according to the city.
The Neighborhood Dumpster Day event involved over 200 residents bringing items to fill up 11 debris boxes within those same neighborhoods, the city added.
The events were a collaboration between various city departments, Urban Tilth and the neighborhood council presidents.
