Construction crews will begin installing 128 curb ramps in North Richmond starting Monday, June 7, as part of a countywide project.
Work will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, weather permitting, and is expected to last until July 16, according to the Contra Costa County Public Works Dept.
In total, more than 200 Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps will be installed at various locations within North Richmond, Alamo, Castle Hill, Clyde and unincorporated North Concord.
The work will run through August and will consist of removing existing curb and sidewalk and constructing new curb, gutter and sidewalk, the county said.
Construction on the 2021 Countywide Curb Ramp Project is funded by SB1 gas tax revenue.
