Fancy a sail on the bay during Fleet Week? How about an overnight stay including dinner and breakfast at the East Brother Lighthouse? Or maybe a Queso-Birria Taco Meal for two from Richmond’s popular El Garage eatery? All this and more is up for bidding at the Richmond Rotary Club’s Virtual Holiday Auction, which kicks off Friday, Dec. 4 with online festivities at 12:30 p.m. and runs through Friday, Dec. 11.
The best part? Contributions to the Rotary Club’s Holiday Auction get reinvested into the Richmond community via donations to schools and various community organizations. This year’s effort aims to raise at least $25,000. Check out the organization’s current project list here.
Anyone interested in viewing the auction items should follow the following steps to register:
Click here and then click on the green “Auction Access” button on the lower left; complete the info fields and click the green “Register” button. While the ticket is free, registrants can opt to add a donation here if wanted; next, registrants will be directed to a confirmation page and will also receive an email. On the page, registrants can authorize their credit cards immediately or wait—however, the Rotary Club advises that people won’t be able to view auction items until they’ve authorize their credit cards (per the Rotary Club, those who don’t purchase or bid on anything won’t have their cards charged); and finally, participants should keep the email confirmation they received so they can easily return to the page (a text with a link back will also be sent). Once the registration is complete and the credit card info is entered, participants can browse items.
