A person was shot and injured while riding a bicycle in the Parchester Village neighborhood of Richmond early Sunday, police said.
Officers responded to the shooting at 12:21 a.m. in the 4500 block of Jenkins Way, police Capt. Al Walle reported on social media.
The suspect was described as a male in a silver, late model BMW 5 Series car.
The victim was transported to a trauma center in stable condition, Walle said.
The shooting is believed to be gang related, according to police.
