Local youth groups are set to showcase how they are creating positive community change by hosting a free event at the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday.
From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., young people will share their work to reduce health disparities in their community in an event that is free, open to the public and includes dinner.
The event is a great way for the community to learn about the work young people are engaged in, and ways to support the youth and their projects, organizers said.
“Youth from organizations Bay Area Community Resources, Community for Health for Asian Americans, and YES Nature to Neighborhoods will convene and present their accomplishments, as well as lead discussions around community issues and concerns,” organizers said. “Community feedback provided will guide future projects and work in Richmond, San Pablo, and El Cerrito.”
