Did you leave your Valentine’s Day planning to the last minute? Have no fear, Richmond restaurants are here, ready and willing to take your dinner reservation this Thurs., Feb. 14, for a romantic night out.
The Rich Life did a little gum-shoe detective work and found some top Richmond establishments that—as of this writing—still have room at the table for you and your sweet one this Valentine’s Day. Here’s the scoop…
Brezo
Located in Point Richmond’s historic Baltic Building—once the site of a speakeasy—Brezo features “farm-fresh California meats and produce with a Latin flare.” The restaurant, which exudes charm and romance in addition to delicious food, is offering a special set menu for Valentine’s Day. The menu for two people will feature one appetizer, two entrees and one dessert to share for $75; menu items can also be ordered individually. Entrees will include Braised Short Ribs, Wild Salmon and a Filled & Grilled Vegetable Crepe. Hotel Mac
When it comes to charming, historic properties in Point Richmond, the Hotel Mac is the grand dame; it’s been situated at its home at 50 Washington Ave. since 1911. And with miniature lamps on the tables and beautiful, old world décor, it’s the perfect romantic retreat. This Valentine’s Day, the Hotel Mac will be offering a special menu with selections like Roasted Lobster Tail, Hearts of Fire Linguini with Prawns, Twice Cooked Duck Breast and more—including a selection of soup or salad and dessert—your evening will be downright indulgent. Pikhanas
Another Point Richmond eatery, Pikhanas, will be featuring its everyday dinner menu for Valentine’s Day, but be assured it’s anything but typical. The restaurant, located at 25 West Richmond Ave. in Point Richmond, is a Brazilian steakhouse that specializes in serving the country’s traditional Rodizio—various cuts of beef, pork, lamb and chicken that are slow-cooked on special grills to preserve the natural juices and flavors. Throughout your visit, Pikhanas’ wait staff take turns visiting your table to offer your party different servings of meat. It’s a deliciously unique dining experience you won’t soon forget.
