The Factory Bar in Richmond has announced that, for the first time since its launch amid the pandemic, it has opened its indoor bar to the community with newly expanded hours. Also, its Polka Dot Room—a lounge within the bar—has also opened to the public. The bar’s outdoor patio has been open since August 2020.

“We couldn’t be more excited to finally be able to share our Richmond history-themed indoors space to our neighbors and community,” said Tom Lyons, a co-owner of The Factory Bar. “We have full bar service if you want to belly-up to the bar as well as our Polka Dot Room in the back, which has a bit more of a lounge/speakeasy vibe.”

According to Lyons, the Polka Dot Room is available for regular use and also private events, with reservations required.

A new specialty cocktail menu created by The Factory Bar’s staff was introduced over the Fourth of July weekend and they also offer 14 taps featuring local breweries, said Lyons. Among the many options on the new cocktail menu is the Strawberry Dandy, which consists of Espolon Blanco, strawberry/dandelion/agave/honey syrup and lime juice.

The bar’s newly extended hours are Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The Factory Bar is located at 12517 San Pablo Ave. in Richmond. For more info, click here. According to Lyons, masks are optional for those who are vaccinated, but are required for those who are not.
