An internationally recognized practitioner of Feng Shui is set to deliver a special education presentation and Yu Wei Rice Blessing at The Shops at Hilltop on Friday, June 28.
Alex Stark will lead the discussion about the complete Feng Shui process at 4 p.m. at Center Court for the mall at 2200 Hilltop Mall Road. The blessing follows at 4:30 p.m.
As stated in the Cambridge Dictionary, Feng Shui is an “ancient Chinese belief that the way your house is built or the way that you arrange objects affects your success, health and happiness.”
In Feng Shui, “Yu Wei” is considered a high blessing and encourages new growth, harmony, development and prosperity.
It’s an appropriate ceremony for what’s happening at The Shops at Hilltop, a long-struggling mall that has new owners and is currently undergoing a major transformation, with both short and long term improvements. Short term plans call for facade and interior improvements as well as new shopping and food options, including 99 Ranch Market, which is set to open later this year. Long term plans include a hotel, office space and potentially over 3,500 housing units.
