The Gyuto Foundation is inviting the community to its Annual Spring Festival on April 27.
The festival, which will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Guyoto Foundation at 6401 Bernhard Ave. in Richmond, will feature a variety of free programs and workshops such as Meditation, Introduction to Buddhism, Tibetan Herbalism with pulse reading, Tibetan Chinese Medicines, Art, Yoga, and Qigong, according to Ven. Thupten Donyo, director of the Gyuto Foundation.
There will also be games for kids and vendors selling treasures and cuisine from the Himalayas.
“We are introducing this festival annually,” Donyo said.
And this festival is going to be a site to see:
“Since we moved to this location, we have planted over 65 cherry blossom trees dedicated to the East Richmond Heights neighborhood, and some are currently in bloom,” Donyo said. “We also have a short trail around the property so people can enjoy the natural surroundings.”
